HERBACEOUS NOTE
Odor is one of the most important properties of herbs. Many herbs such as Citrus Reticulata Blanco or Alpinia Officinarum Hance, have different strong odors coming from their respective volatile components, and moreover, the same kind of herbs can release distinct odors due to different quality, growing region or storage time. Many researchers have investigated methods for assessing quality of herbs based on odor of their volatile components. The smell of herbal compounds is directly related to their chemical composition, which is the interface between the external characteristics and intrinsic quality of herbal extracts.
HERBACEOUS PERFUMERY COMPOUNDS
The chemical composition of the herbal extracts comprised mainly of monoterpenes (-aromadendrene and (E)-β-farnesene). The GC/MS is a rapid, cheap, simple and eco-friendly procedure for the essential oil screening of herbs and blending.

Please Note: Due to the fact that our fragrances are very concentrated, we suggest that you test our fragrances in finished products before you make any conclusions about our fragrances. Since our fragrances are so strong, we suggest only using 0.5 to max 4% in any finished product. Our testing notes should never take the place of your own personal testing. Always test fragrance in finished (product) applications.
HERBAL ODOR SCIENCE OF PERFORMANCE
The electronic nose (E-nose) is an instrument mimicking the sense of smell for detecting and identifying complex odors by using an array of embedded gas sensors. When the sensor array is influenced by an odor stimulus, it generates a smell print, which is the response of the sensor array and represents an electronic fingerprint characteristic of each sample. These smell prints form a recognition pattern for qualitative analysis using an appropriate multivariate tool. The E-nose with real-time information processing characteristics greatly facilitates fast monitoring of volatile components of diverse molecular structure addition to the molecule.
